Hurricane Relief
Family Relocation: Regina Nelson & Family

Regina Nelson and her family have come from New Orleans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. They lost everything, but are willing to relocate here and start a new life. Orangewood Church is eager to help them get a great start. To help, see contact information below.
Food and Clothing (Leader: Michelle Demarest)
Orangewood has supplied gift cards for SuperWalmart and Cato's for food and clothing. Michelle Demarest has helped with transportation and the purchase of necessary supplies and is overseeing these efforts. The family is covered for these items at this time.
Housing/Furnishings/Kitchen (Leader: Leslie Kirschner)
Willow Lake Apartments in Apopka has provided two free months rent. Regina has obtained an apartment with the Orlando Housing Authority and she will move out of the current apartment sometime between now and November 1. When they move again they will need furnishings and kitchen supplies. Orangewood will be completely furnishing the new apartment and we will need many volunteers to help with donations and moving. We will update this website with the detailed list of items needed.
Employment
Regina Nelson has experience in both in-home child care and group child care facilities. Here in Florida she will need state certification. If you can help in this area, please contact Regina at (407)722-1632. Blaine Williams has submitted job applications at the City of Winter Park and at a local Winn Dixie. If you have any contacts that would help him, please contact Blaine at the number above.
Transportation
A minivan has been provided by another church.
