Helping Hands
We had a great success on Saturday, September 16, 2006 as two project teams concurrently repaired homes in the Eatonville area.
Project Team #1: Rosa Jenkins
S. Calhoun Avenue, Eatonville, FL 32751
Rosa is 75 yrs old and lives with her two daughters (one of whom she cares for as an Alzheimer's patient). Her home is in need of handicap bars in the bathroom, shower tile repair, drywall repairs, interior painting, and replacing exterior wood rot. This is a good day-long project for 10-15 volunteers. Team Leader for this project is Hugh Miller (Agape Temple of Faith) and the Contractor is Michael Yetman (Northland).
Project Team #2: Bessie Fedrick
Amador Circle, Orlando, FL 32810
Bessie is 74 yrs old and recently widowed. The roof on her home is currently leaking and needs to be re-shingled. The ceiling inside the main house needs some drywall repair from previous water damage. This is a good day-long project for 10-12 volunteers for the roof and 4-6 inside. Team Leader for the inside team is Howard Schiefferdecker (Orangewood) and Contractor is Tim Brown. Team Leader for roofing team is Steve Demarest (Orangewood) and Contractor is Kevin Rambo.
