Demarest Home Renovation

Building community to Reach Community is a cyclical process. We must continue to care for and build up those within our own community as we strive to reach the greater community with the love of Christ. Last year, we provided various levels of financial assistance to nearly twenty families to the tune of $50K. With your help, our commitment has been greater than ever—and it’s making an impact in the lives of those who worship with us every week.

A particularly pressing need has come up concerning one of our families. For over 15 years, the Demarest family (Steve, Michelle, Stephanie, Jesse and Randy) has tirelessly and selflessly given of themselves to serve both our church and our community. Steve has served faithfully as a deacon for many years, while Michelle & Stephanie have affectionately cared for countless children to keep the Tuesday morning Women's Ministry functioning smoothly. The family put in countless hours working side-by-side to help build the Franklin House last year. And when Hurricane Katrina hit and left Regina Nelson homeless, the Demarest family played the lead role in helping the Nelson family get back on their feet.

Two years ago, the Demarest's started a home addition project to alleviate several problems with their cramped home, where Michelle home-schools all three children. But escalating material costs and unexpected medical expenses have stymied their progress. The leadership of your church, committed to ministry both within and outside the walls of our church, ask for your support in finishing the home for this dear family. This will be the final significant project of the ministry year, so please consider how you might help provide one of our own families with a decent place to live. Thank you!
